In this first-person narrative, Bella Kuligowska Zucker, (z”l), mother of WES member Grace Rapkin, recounts how she became the only person in her family to survive the Shoah. A teenager in 1939, Bella shared the experience of most Polish Jews -- roundups, ghetto life, separation and loss of family and friends -- narrowly escaping death.
